Photoshooting a Japanese Idol Group photo at a ‘haunted’ castle in Malaysia

Back in 2018, I decided to have a very interesting photoshoot for a Japanese Idol Group. STARMARIE is a fantasy style group that have a theatrical horror undertone on their style and performance. So to suit that vibe, I decided to plan a shoot in a real castle in northern Malaysia called ‘Kellie’s Castle’ which was built by a Scottish planter named William Kellie-Smith which construction ended in 1926 before completion due to the death of the owner. The visual at the end of the day really fits the Idol group in my opinion.
